Second Life winter adventures (the joy of SL Christmas!)

Well it's been a long time since my last post, but visiting SL around this time of year is always a treat as there are some wonderful places to visit with a Christmas theme. I'm always amazed at the effort and amount of work some people put into their places. So I just had to take some snapshots for remembrance sake. Take this first one, shot at the North Pole Sleigh Ride. You can ride around on a sleigh (as the name suggests...) ice skate or just look at some of the lovely decorations:

The secret garden at Imaginaria (the name alone is inviting..) is beautifully done, a smallish park artistically and elegantly decorated with a winter theme:

On landing at Slightly Twisted you are greeted with an enormous 'snow angel', falling snow and frost. This is another very beautiful sim, and you really feel that you are in a magical winter forest. There's a marvellous center piece, a winter house (opposed to a summer house) with dancing bears, swans, piano and a fantastic tree in the center. Unfortunately I couldn't find a way in to get closer, so the second image below is a shot through one of the windows.

My last stop on my winter adventures today was Yuki No Yumi, a Japanese winter themed sim, again very elegantly done and a pleasure to walk through:

If you have some spare time (and don't keep crashing like I did today!) do visit some of the winter/Christmas themed places, they are lovely and will bring a smile to your face:)
