Sadly, one of SL's great art installations is closing today - Garden of NPIRL delights. The exhibition covered an entire Sim and consists of a myriad of creations by various artists in Second Life and was a fine example of the creativity possible there.
As you would fly or walk around the various builds it would constantly amaze - the beauty, the scale, the conceptions...beautiful fantasy trees and plants, enormous working machines, dragon like creatures littering the sky, surreal constructions, and so much more, too many exhibits to list or post photos for. Every time I would visit I would discover some new creation I hadn't found before, right up until today when I went back for one last look. Considering the basic shapes that one has to work with in Second Life, residents really do use their imaginations to the limit.

Wishing to keep some memories of this and to share with you the wonderful experience that was Garden of NPIRL delights I've posted some pictures below. It is just a tiny fraction of what was there, but my personal favourites.

Of course, this last installation captured my attention immediately - an excellent representation of Salvador Dali's Christ of St John of the Cross:

Let's hope there will be more such wonderful installations.
